Want to know what kind of people influence the world. Go through the list and you will get the answers. They have been in the news due to good or bad reasons and have been successful in influencing people all around the world. Politicians, Musicians, TV artists, Sports Stars every one in the list has influenced a majority of the public world wide.

Edward Snowden.

Edward Snowden aka tops my list of the most influential person because there are many reasons for him to be there. Given the pen name “ The Whistle Blower” Edward has brought many things under limelight which the people of the world were unaware of. Currently having an asylum in Russia Snowden came into world media when he leaked 20000 reports and information about the NSA spying over the private information of people around the world. According to Snowden, the only reason for leaking the documents was “to inform the public as to that which is done in their name and that which is done against them.”

Snowden is termed as a fugitive by the American authorities who have charged him with espionage and theft of government property.
Edward Snowden was given the biennial German “whistleblower prize” in August 2013, in absentia, with money award equaling to 3,000 euro

A thriller about Edward Snowden’s life, Classified: The Edward Snowden Story, is scheduled for release on 19 September 2014.

The steps taken by Snowden are brave and Bold and it takes real courage from a person to go against his own country. I personally feel what Snowden has done is right because spying privacy is very unethical act and hence he is my hero and tops my list of the most influential persons in the world.
