Actor George Clooney told reporters Friday that America will not recall at this moment in history and be “happy” and declared that Hollywood is well represented in President Donald Trump’s administration.
“Hollywood is being quite well represented right now in the West Wing in some way,” Clooney informed reporters Friday at the Toronto International Movie Festival. The star referenced President Trump’s annual pay to the Screen Casts Guild, his star on the Hollywood Walk of Popularity, and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin who has produced a myriad of blockbuster Hollywood movies.
“You know, they say I’m out of touch. You wish to call me a Hollywood liberal? Come at me,” Clooney said, appearing to safeguard himself versus accusations that he’s an elitist. “I sold women shoes, I offered insurance door to door, I worked at an all-night alcohol store, I cut tobacco for a living. I can change the fan belt on my vehicle. I grew up in that world in Kentucky. I know every bit of that world, and I understand my pals and exactly what they believe.”
“And I understand this is not a minute in our history that we’ll look back and be happy of,” Clooney said. “So if I’m not standing on the side I believe to be right, I ‘d be ashamed.”

Clooney, who remained in Toronto promoting his new Matt Damon-starring race thriller Suburbicon, attacked Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, calling him “a failed f ** king screenwriter.”
“I like selecting fights. I like that Breitbart News wants to have my head. I ‘d be embarrassed 10 years from now if those weaselly little putzes, whose voices are getting a lot higher every week as this presidency starts to look even worse and even worse weren’t still [after me],” Clooney

“The reality exists are a lot more people who are much better certified than me,” Clooney stated. “I believe the factor individuals talk about is that our bench [in the Democratic party] doesn’t seem excellent right now, it does not appear very amazing.”
“By this time 8 years ago we had already heard Obama provide a speech at the convention and there was something going on,” Clooney stated. “But right now no one truly sees any person out there, so that’s when the Rock or whoever enters play. For me, I will support whomever I can by doing charity events or whatever and assisting in methods I’m probably much better at than in making policies … I say just search for a prospect that thrills you, and it shouldn’t be me.”
