America’s newest sweetheart made his celebrity appearance at the Academy Awards and the lift is just gushing over it.

Team USA Olympic skater Adam Rippon who was able to parlay his loathing of Vice President Mike Pence into something much more valuable than the gold medal; the openly gay athlete punched his ticket to fame and fortune by putting his own activism above his fellow straight Olympians.

Rippon showed up at Sunday night’s ceremonies wearing a tux and an S&M harness that practically had the star-sucklers swooning at his feet as he strutted his stuff on the red carpet.

Team USA’s Olympic figure skating star Adam Rippon is making a bold statement off of the rink and on the Oscars red carpet. The 28-year-old made an early but unsubtle arrival to the Academy Awards, wearing a bondage harness sewn into his blazer.

It’s an epic look only the beloved, outspoken athlete could pull off.

“Just something casual,” Rippon joked of his look on his Instagram story this evening. According to the post, his BDSM-inspired outfit is by Jeremy Scott, which should come as no surprise, since the designer is no stranger to daring apparel.

Twitter was practically melting:

The kinky BDSM getup was a part of the line put out by fashion designer Jeremy Scott who was the topic of a Yahoo story “Jeremy Scott’s bringing fetishism back to fashion” and you can get an idea of what sort of stuff now passes for dressing to the nines.

My grandmother used to just love the Oscars – other than Christmas, it was her favorite day of the year. But as she got on in years and liberalism began to degrade society, she was repulsed by the women who dressed up like whores, sluts, and tarts and eventually stopped watching altogether. God rest her soul, but I can only imagine what she would think now that the guys are dressing like sluts as well.

If anything good comes out of the Oscars, it is just how far out of the mainstream that these California crazies and narcissistic celebrity kooks are.
