On the heels of Barbara Walters announcement to retire, her forty-four year old daughter, Jacqueline Walters Danforth, was arrested on a DUI charge in Naples, Florida this past Saturday. Reported to be out of control during her arrest, she was taken to the ground for her own safety.
According to police records, the Honda Pilot was found pulled over on the side of the road at 1:24am on May 19th, with Walters in the drivers seat and a male, reported to be her boyfriend, in the passenger seat. The couple appeared to be extremely intoxicated as the police rolled up on them. Jackie became irate when the police began to handcuff her boyfriend, and grabbed on of the officers while shouting. The arresting officer reported that he was afraid she would run into traffic on the highway, so he took her to the ground due to her unpredictable behavior, then secured her in handcuffs.
Walters was more than twice over the legal alcohol limit, with a .218 on the breathalyzer test and was then arrested on DUI charges, posting bail for $1000 several hours later.
