Appearing on Fox & & Friends Tuesday morning, Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro ripped Hollywood for its celebration of films that “spit the most in the eye of the typical American,” and slammed the Hollywood neighborhood for lecturing America on morals while the film community is itself so lacking ethically. Host Steve Doocy started by discussing President Trump’s tweet in which he satirized Hollywood,

Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Issue is, we do not have Stars anymore – except your President (just joking, obviously)!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)

March 6, 2018 That triggered Shapiro to respond:

Anything the president states is going to be taken as seriously as possible so long as it can injure him, by the media. Pretty excellent joke, Mr. President; I like that one. Obviously, the scores at the Oscars were down again this year; they’ve been down for the last several years, and the factor is pretty simple: Hollywood, when they put exactly what they believe is the finest of Hollywood on display screen, it’s what they think spits the most in the eye of the typical American. And so they have not had a photo considering that 2004 that’s won Best Image that remained in the leading ten at package workplace. There’s this fantastic divide in Hollywood in between the motion pictures that really generate income and the movies that people want to see, and the films that Hollywood wishes to show us that they make, the ones that they speak about at the real mixed drink parties that they do have out here. The motion picture that will win Best Image is a motion picture about a person having sex with a fish, Grinding Nemo, that’ll win Best Image, however the films that individuals actually want to see across the United States, those are the ones that perhaps are chosen for a technical award. No wonder people aren’t tuning in.Shapiro added,”

I didn’t even watch it this year for the very first time in permanently simply because, again, I was not thinking about watching all these people who are sexually bugging and raping each other lecture the rest of America on why our morality is lacking … that’s extremely annoying, I think, to the majority of Americans, and it must be.”Host Ainsely Earhardt asked Shapiro about the plethora of appearances on TELEVISION on Monday of Sam Nunberg, who was asked on-air if he was drunk. Shapiro specified: It’s careless of members of the media to put this man on the air if they legit think he’s intoxicated. If you actually think someone’s drunk or struggling with a serious psychological deficiency, it is not relevant to put that individual on the air. It does show the desperation level in some areas of the media; CNN has actually now deployed a reporter to Russia to dig through a real dumpster on-air; they’re now deploying press reporters to Thailand to speak with a Russian prostitute who simply wants to get out of prison, saying she has product on Trump/Russia. Let’s just ask a basic question: if Sam Nunberg were not a previous Trump assistant but he were a former Obama aide on tv ripping up Obama throughout Obama’s term, do we actually think that the networks, that CNN and MSNBC, would have been including him all the time yesterday? Or would they have actually said, “This man does not look stable and we’re not going to put him in front of a camera. “– Brian Kilmeade (@kilmeade) March 6, 2018
