A man with long, streaming hair who used robes and was called Hollywood Jesus or WeHo Jesus died and fans paid tribute Wednesday night.Kevin Lee Light was understood to many in the area. Celebrities, such as Jared Leto, took photos with him and pals said he would position for pictures with anyone.Actress Pauley Perrette likewise tweeted her condolences after learning of Light’s death.Oh my heart. RIP #WeHoJesus Kevin was my buddy. A gorgeous creature. (If you do not live here and didn’t know him, you’ll never understand)
— Pauley Perrette (@PauleyP) January 4, 2018 Light was a routine at The Funny Shop on the Sunset Strip, and on Wednesday, there was a message honoring him on the marquis. Comic Tommy Godlove fulfilled Light at the club.
“He looks like Jesus, you know what I mean? So whenever he put it on he just lived that life,” he said. “I satisfied Hollywood Jesus … I constantly heard stories about Hollywood Jesus. I lastly met him. He was simply a kind person. He was always smiling, would shake your hand.”
Hollywood Jesus likewise made an appearance on the campy YouTube series “The WeHoans” and was a regular at the West Hollywood gay pride march.The city published on its Instagram account with a message: “We will miss you.” Buddies who went to a show at The Funny Shop were saddened by Light’s death.
“He was remarkable. Kevin was incredible. He was a light at The Funny Shop,” Breanna Webb said.Information on Light’s
