Now that the Olympics are over, and Laurie Hernandez has been named the brand-new queen of the beam, the 16-year-old is headed back to the States to embark on a 40-city gymnastics trip with the remainder of the Last 5. But naturally, like any great Olympian, she needed to make a couple of talk program looks prior to hopping on a plane. On Ryan Seacrest’s late-night show Saturday, Laurie exposed that her father texted her about her tasks while she was completing in Rio and talked about the origin of The Last Five’s nickname (they’re the last group of gymnasts group planner Martha Karolyi). She likewise described that she’s a huge fan of The Voice, and has trouble choosing who her preferred judge is.
“So Adam keeps winning so I like Adam due to the fact that of that,” Laurie stated.”But Christina [Aguilera] is incredible even when I was more youthful simply in the gym my coach would put on a Christina CD and we would listen to her the entire time.”
Ryan told her that since the Last Five fulfilled and sufficiently fangirled over Zac Efron, “He has had his moment,” and it might be time for a new celebrity shout-out in Rio. He directed Laurie’s attention to a screen, where a video message from Adam Levine appeared. “What’s up, Laurie?,” Adam said. “This is Adam Levine, just desired to state ‘Hello, congratulations.’ You’re kicking butt out there, and we’ve been viewing you from the States.
