A group of ice skaters in Sweden found a brilliant way to rescue four exhausted wild boars trapped on a frozen lake — by pushing them to safety like curling stones!
The group of boars had gotten themselves stuck in the middle of the lake after they ran out of food on one of the islands. Feeling rather hungry, they decided to cross the lake in an attempt to reach the mainland, stranding themselves in the process.
The new Olympic sport of boar curling.
Aww. That sad and baffled look on the poor boar’s face as he gets pushed across the ice.
Although this may look like a harsh way to rescue the wild animals, the group of ice skaters noted that some of the boars were a bit aggressive when approached. So, their sticks allowed them to push the boars at a safe distance.
